The European Union’s mandatory reporting requirements for the EU Taxonomy and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) represent a challenge for financial institutions.    

In June 2023, the European Commission approved a new set of EU taxonomy criteria for economic activities making a substantial contribution to one or more of the remaining four Taxonomy objectives. This necessitates the creation of new internal systems and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
